Somebody just invented a breastfeeding doll

There’s a fantastic scene in Withnail And I where the oft-(mis)quoted Danny informs Withnail and Marwood about his latest invention: a children’s doll which “shits itself.” A toy which, on paper at least, is on a par with the Spanish Bebe Gloton ‘breastfeeding’ doll.

A child (girl, probably) puts on the supplied vest and assumes the position. Cue suckling noises, robotic doll lip movements, that familiar cry for wind relief and all those other kinds of wrong, which… er, hang on. It’s actually all rather cute. A sweet, discreet way of promoting breastfeeding.
